The Priceless Pearl

Verse

The treasure lay just off the trail

Beneath the clear blue sky.

Its beauty made the man inhale;

Its richness made him sigh.

Verse

Secured with joy, the man rushed out

And sold all that he had.

For in his heart he had no doubt

That it would make him glad.

Chorus

God loves his people with a fire

Of joy that’s so intense,

He buys the pearl he desires

Despite the great expense.
