Helmet of Salvation

Verse

You are the Word in me,

Speaking life and victory.

You make my path brand new—

Fear has no place in me.

You make me stronger by Your power and might;

Jesus my glory, You are my shield.

What a faithful friend I’ve found in You.

Chorus

On my head is the helmet of salvation,

The sword of the Spirit is Your Word in me.

My faith is built on You — You are my shield.

The truth in Your Word has set me free.

Jehovah Shalom, You are my peace.

Verse

You light up my path with the light of Your Word,

A lamp that guides my feet.

You have given victory;

I’m standing on Your Word,

Resting safe in You.

Soaring on the wings of the eagle,

Perfected in You by Your mercy.

Bridge

I am walking in the light of Your Word.

I am soaring like the eagle.

Fear has no place in my mind.

My faith is renewed—

I trust You, faithful God.

Chorus

The helmet of salvation is upon me,

Your living Word is the sword I carry.

My faith is anchored, my heart is steady—

Your truth forever sets me free.

Jehovah Shalom, You are my peace.
