The Anchor Holds

Verse

Sunrise breaks, but the path ahead is hazy

Shadows lengthen, and the air is feeling heavy

Every day's a climb, sometimes the rocks are sharp

You feel the pressure building, weighing on your heart.

The winds of doubt are blowin', a whisper in your ear:

"How can you keep on going? What overcomes the fear?"

Pre-chorus

But hear this truth, my friend, that rings out strong and clear:

Love's got a lifeline for you right here.

Chorus

'Cause when the storm is raging, and the ground starts shaking

When your hope is fading, and your spirit's aching,

Remember the power in the One who calmed the sea

He's right here beside you, setting your captive spirit free!

You're not sailing solo, you're not lost out in the blue

The Anchor holds, and His love will see you through!

Verse

Maybe it's the bills, or a worry you can't name

A lonely stretch of road, or trying to win a losing game.

You look around for answers, a steady hand to hold

Feeling brittle, broken, like a story left untold.

Don't let the darkness trick you into thinking you're alone

His peace is a promise, etched upon His throne.

Pre-chorus

So lift your weary head, let go of all the strife

Love's got a rhythm that gives your soul new life.

Bridge

He doesn't ask you to be perfect, just to know His mighty hand

He walks with you in the fire, right here on solid land.

The struggles are real, yes, but His presence is truer

His mercy is fresh, making your strength newer.

Outro

So walk on, step out! The message is the same:

You will survive! Call out His holy name!

Oh, you will survive!

His love will see you through!
