Bless My Dad

Intro

Lord, on this day we gather near

For the man who raised us with love so clear

Verse

Thank You for the hands that worked so hard

For the quiet strength and the open heart

Every lesson learned, every prayer he prayed

On this birthday Lord, let Your mercy stay

Chorus

Bless my dad, oh bless him Lord

Keep him safe and fill his days with joy

Bless my dad, oh bless him now

Happy birthday, make him holy ground

Amen, amen, let the angels sing

Amen, amen, for the gift he brings

Verse

Through the years he gave more than he had

Stood in faith when the road was bad

Now we lift him up in this simple song

Asking heaven’s light to shine all day long

Chorus

Bless my dad, oh bless him Lord

Keep him safe and fill his days with joy

Bless my dad, oh bless him now

Happy birthday, make him holy ground

Amen, amen, let the angels sing

Amen, amen, for the gift he brings

Bridge

May his steps stay steady, his laughter ring

May Your peace surround him like a covering

One more year of grace, one more year of love

Write his name in mercy from above

Chorus

Bless my dad, oh bless him Lord

Keep him safe and fill his days with joy

Bless my dad, oh bless him now

Happy birthday, make him holy ground

Amen, amen, let the angels sing

Amen, amen, for the gift he brings
