”
a rap about Robert the animal loving koala who thinks he's handsome
Lyrics
[intro]
Yeah, yeah, ayy
Robert in the trees, yuh
[verse]
Robert the koala, eatin’ leaves all day
Thinks he’s the finest furball this side of the bay
Animal lover, yeah he’ll save a bird or two
But first he gotta check his reflection in the dew
He’s got that eucalyptus swagger, leaves in his grip
Posin’ on the branch like he’s shootin’ a clip
“Damn I look good,” he whisper to the breeze
Koala with the charm, bringin’ all the ladies to their knees
He hug a lil’ possum, pat a sleepy wombat
Then flex his tiny arms like he built like a combat
Handsome Robert, he know he got the glow
Furry face, button nose, puttin’ on a show
Loves every critter but he still the main event
Struttin’ through the gum trees, hundred percent confident
He kiss a baby koala, tell it “you’ll be like me”
Then wink at his shadow, “boy you lucky to see”
[chorus]
Robert, Robert, handsome koala king (king, king)
Loves the animals but he still do his thing (thing, thing)
Robert, Robert, fur so clean, so fly (fly, fly)
Thinks he’s the finest, won’t let that dream die (die, die)
Robert, Robert, clap for the koala (clap, clap)
Animal lover with the ego on lava (lava, lava)
Robert, Robert, yuh he feelin’ himself (self, self)
Koala so handsome, puttin’ everybody else on the shelf
[verse]
He roll up to the creek, greet the platypus crew
“Fellas I’m blessed, just look at this view”
They laugh but he don’t care, he already know
He the koala with the glow that steal the whole show
Feed a lil’ kangaroo joey, scratch behind its ear
Then check his own profile in the water so clear
“Robert you a ten, maybe eleven on a good day”
Leaves stuck in his fur like a natural bouquet
He dance on the branch, little shuffle two-step
Animal whisperer but he still rep the rep
Handsome and humble? Nah that ain’t the brand
He loud and proud with the fur and the tan
Save a snake from a hawk, then pose for the sun
Koala so fine, yeah the legend just begun
[outro]
Robert, Robert… (handsome, handsome)
Yuh, ayy
