Happy Birthday, Wilder Boy

Intro

Hey-hey, Wilder day, yeah, oh-oh

(Happy, happy) come on

Verse

There’s a boy at Wilder, birthday sun in his smile

Brings his sketchbook to CDC, sits and plays for a while

He knows every leaf, every curve of the hill

He can draw a whole world from a single thrill, uh-huh

Pencils like wands, colors like rain

Turns a blank page into pathways, again and again

Pre-chorus

Hannah laughs, George claps, Felix gives a grin (yeah)

We gather round the circle, let the party begin

Chorus

Draw it, draw it, make the mountains sing (oh-oh)

Paint the river wide, let the sparrows swing (let ’em swing)

Draw it, draw it, make the sunlight stay (stay, stay)

Happy birthday, Wilder boy, we celebrate today

Happy birthday, Wilder boy, we celebrate today (yeah, yeah)

Verse

He takes a twig and maps a comet in the dirt

Turns the playground into secret forts where dreams won't hurt

Can sketch your face in five lines, make your laugh come through

Turns the ordinary into something brand new

Hannah brings the cupcakes, George brings the song

Felix spins the ribbon, we all sing along

Bridge

Oh-oh, take that line, spin it wide (spin it wide)

Ta-ta-touch the sky with your marker pride (marker pride)

Uh-huh, every corner of the page is yours (yours, yours)

Keep on drawing futures, open all the doors

Chorus

Draw it, draw it, make the mountains sing (oh-oh)

Paint the river wide, let the sparrows swing (let ’em swing)

Draw it, draw it, make the sunlight stay (stay, stay)

Happy birthday, Wilder boy, we celebrate today

Happy birthday, Wilder boy, we celebrate today (alright, yeah)

Outro

(Hannah, George, Felix) clap-clap, hooray

Wilder boy, keep drawing every day

Na-na-na, na-na-na, oh-oh, yeah
