Lyrics
Intro
(soft guitar, gentle strums)
Verse
From the garden where the first one fell
One man’s choice sent us all to hell
He didn’t ask, the story just began
Adam carried every daughter, every son
Verse
Then the Last One stepped into our frame
Took our flesh and walked the path we claim
Where the first one turned and let the darkness win
The Last Adam turned and brought the light back in
Chorus
Jesus, You’re the Last Adam
You carried us through death and raised us up again
Grace was moving long before we knew
You gathered up our story, made it new
Oh, the Last Adam
Oh-oh, the Last Adam
Verse
You didn’t wait for us to understand
You became the very ground we stand
Through the years of life and through the tomb
You retraced every step and broke the doom
Chorus
Jesus, You’re the Last Adam
You carried us through death and raised us up again
Grace was moving long before we knew
You gathered up our story, made it new
Oh, the Last Adam
Oh-oh, the Last Adam
Bridge
In Adam all have died
In Christ we’re made alive
The first man brought the fall
The Last One brings us all
Chorus
Jesus, You’re the Last Adam
You carried us through death and raised us up again
Grace was moving long before we knew
You gathered up our story, made it new
Oh, the Last Adam
Oh-oh, the Last Adam
