Change The World

Verse

I was thinking about how life has this weird ability

To change the world that you thought existed

Your life painted with memories of wonder and amazing moments

A childlike existence that allows freedom to dream

Pre-chorus

And then you live it to the fullest of that dream

And at some point there was a last time

That you did those things that brought you joy

You make a decision

Chorus

You either try to re-create that feeling you had

Or you accept the world and people have changed

Time spent on the experiences of life

Finding happiness in new moments that remain

Verse

Everyone and everything has changed, we matured and got older

We find new ways to be happy and fulfilled

Though the mind longs for the past

There’s beauty and happiness in the moments we hold

Pre-chorus

Now you want to fight and bring back those times

But all of it has changed, the environment and minds

An opportunity to rebuild the wonder inside

To share happiness with those around

Chorus

Those stuck in the past resist the change

The new respond with positive embrace

A choice to form what was or grow to what will be

Life’s experience shaping who we become

Bridge

Love and acceptance within this world is a must

No exceptions, embrace the change with peace

See that things change, people change

Find serenity or be stuck forever in the past

Outro

We must fight for what can be, what will be

For every life gives purpose to what we see ourselves to be

Every part of life an opportunity

The future is in our hands to create and be free
