Welcome to the Christmas Circus

Intro

Fa-la-la, ha-ha, oh-oh, hey

Ho-ho, ring it up, ring it up

Verse

Canvas open, chimney smoke and candy glass

Tinsel swirls like a ribbon on a brass

Clowns with mittened hands, red noses bright

Pouring cocoa light into a winter night

Tightrope made of ribbon, candy cane high

Reindeer on the carousel wink one eye

Bells in the rafters keep a careful beat

Children on the benches tapping tiny feet

Pre-chorus

Steam from the cocoa, breath on the air (breathe, breathe)

The ringmaster's grin says, "Everybody, care"

Gloves on the ropes, stars stitched on the hem

Tonight the whole town's a holiday gem

Chorus

Welcome to the Christmas circus, spin with me, (spin with me)

Under the striped tent, where the lights agree

Ho-ho, fa-la, oh-oh, we sing and we swing, (we swing)

Welcome to the Christmas circus, let the carols ring

Welcome to the Christmas circus, spin with me, (spin with me)

Under the striped tent, where the lights agree

Ho-ho, fa-la, oh-oh, we sing and we swing, (we swing)

Welcome to the Christmas circus, let the carols ring

Verse

Acrobats in scarves flip past the moon

Sparks like sugared stars fall in a swoon

Juggler tosses snow, it glints like glass

Santa passes by with a wink and a brass

Marching band of mittens, drumroll slow

Snowmen take a bow in a single row

Lanterns orbit slow around the ring

Every ticket stamped with a small gold wing

Pre-chorus

Popcorn like confetti, cinnamon air (so sweet)

Little hands are reaching, magic in their stare

The velvet rope parts, the night leans in close

This patchwork of wonder is all we chose

Bridge

(Oh) tighter, tighter, hold my mittened hand

We twirl and whisper jokes nobody planned (ha)

Bell-rimmed laughter, sugar on our lips

A loop-de-loop of kisses, peppermint slips

Sing it louder, sing it sweet, sing it slow

Watch the paper stars catch on the snow

Ho-ho, hey-ya, clap your hands, keep time

We spin the season out in a single rhyme
