Sleigh Bells Lullaby

Intro

fa-la-la, sleigh bells (jingle, jingle) — oh-oh

(crinkle, crunch) — fa-la-la

Verse

First hush of snowfall on the porch light, soft and slow

Buttons on my coat, mittened hands, breath like smoke

We scoop out laughter, roll the winter into a friend

Carrot nose and coal-bright eyes, we call him by our names again

Steam from the mug, a swirl of marshmallow moons

Hot cocoa kisses, cinnamon, hum-along tunes

The calendar glows December, every corner whispers "come"

So we hang our paper dreams on the branch of someone

Pre-chorus

Close your eyes — can you feel the world tilt lighter? (lighter)

Tiny stars in the air, tiny fires growing brighter (brighter)

Hold my glove, press your cheek, listen — bells reply (reply)

Oh-oh, oh-oh, the night writes our lullaby

Chorus

Sleigh bells, sleigh bells, ring it out — ring it out (ding-ding)

Snowflakes, snowflakes, paint the ground — paint the ground (whoa)

Cookies on the windowsill, presents underneath the tree

Hot cocoa, co-co-cocoa, and you right next to me

Sleigh bells, sleigh bells, ring it out — ring it out (ding-ding)

Snowmen waving from the yard, come and make a snow angel with me

Verse

Kids trace wings on winter lawns, laughing like a chime

Scarves like ribbons, mittened thumbs stealing a rhyme

We write our names in footprints, then we watch them glow

Streetlamps spell the chorus only night would know

A paper star above the door, a ribbon on the chair

Handwritten songs spill out warm, fold into the air

We trade small miracles for quiet, sticky-sweet delight

And every window becomes a candle in the night

Bridge

Ho-ho-ho, a porch swing creaks, the world leans close (close)

Crumbs of ginger snap between us, joy we chose (we chose)

Soft hush, soft hush — the season hums in gold and white

Ta-ta-touch the moment, hold it till the morning light
